What is the VEU Program?
The Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) program is a state-government initiative designed to help homes and businesses across Victoria reduce energy consumption, cut greenhouse gas emissions, and save on electricity and gas bills.

  • When an accredited provider installs eligible energy-efficient products (or upgrades existing inefficient appliances and systems), it generates a Victorian Energy Efficiency Certificate (VEEC)
  • Each VEEC represents one tonne of greenhouse gas emissions saved over the lifetime of that upgrade
  • Through VEU, both households and businesses gain access to energy-efficient upgrades that would otherwise be costly, making energy savings more accessible across Victoria.
